Floral, mixed media 16"x 19"
Crabapple blooms were fluttering open —their colors and the sun streaming held me there as I fussed to get the perfect shot.
What started as a photo taken on the family farm was then turned into an ink drawing. I introduced more color to the image through mixed media, took some photos of my new image, and pushed the color through edits. What was flattened through two dimensional forms of expression had life breathed back in again as I applied mixed media to the surface.
This image has been framed with a German Silver metal frame that shifts from gold to silver as it catches the light.
